Gorillas in the mist

Not having written anything for a while, I thought I ought to try and catch up.  On 11th of this month we had one of the two motor sport events of the year in Les Andelys:  the motor cross.  This gives me free rein to sit on a hillside and eat sausage and chips, have a beer and maybe even take a photo or several.

Fortunately, it's a year that includes sidecars which are by far the most fun to watch.

The weather was good - hurray!  No rain - hurray!  So lots of dust to get into the camera and all over the sensor!

Return of the summer guests

Our house guests have returned again this year. They turn up every spring to hang out, eat, breed, and crap everywhere. Here is one of them.

Today we went to the bird sanctuary to photograph some birds.  The birds were not cooperating so I shot dinosaurs instead.  Here is my favourite.
